About Devikulam:
Devikulam is a small hill station, which is best known for its mesmerizing beauty. This magnificent hill resort is situated 16 km South-West of Munnar in the cultural Indian state of Kerala. Located 1800 m above the sea level the land of Devikulam is also having its significant mythological importance. The word Devikulam means, the lake or pond of Devi. The place has a famous legend behind it.
Legend:
According to a legend Goddess Sita (consort of Lord Rama) took bath in the water of the lake of Devikulam. Hence the lake is known as Sita Devi Lake and the place is known as Devikulam.
Attractions of Devikulam:
Devikulam is engraved with a number of attractions all around which are:
Sita Devi Lake:
This lake is the most popular spot of the region. Many tourists visit the holy lake every year not only for its sacredness but also the mineral water of the lake has curative power. Situated in the lush green surroundings, along the backdrop of massive hills the lake enhance a magical sight. You may also take the pleasure of fishing at the lake.
Pallivasal Waterfalls:
At a small distance from the lake, Pallivasal waterfalls is another worth visit place of Devikulam, which is popular as a picnic spot. The gargling milky white water cascades down with echoic sound, that captivates the mind and soul of the visitors.
Trekking Adventure:
The land of Devikulam is enriched by the rich dense forests with lush green vegetation and woody, sloppy hills, that make it an ideal place for trekkers. So you may explore out best of your adventures here by trekking.
Tea Gardens and Beautiful Gum Tree:
On the alluring slopes of the hills the green tea-gardens create a panoramic view, while gum trees of red and blue color fascinate the visitors with their immense beauty.

Best time to Visit: Since the climate of Devikulam remains pleasant whole the year, so the place can be visited throughout the year.
