How to Create Displays With Stackable Plastic Containers

The first step to creating a display with stackable plastic containers is to get familiar with your display space. You can’t choose which containers to use or which candy to display unless you know exactly how much space you have to work with. Remember, these containers stack one on top of the other, so you need to think about more than just the tabletop or countertop space; you also need to think about the height.
2. Next, Decide Which Merchandise to Display
Once you know how much space you have to work with and have a fairly good idea of how many containers you’ll need, you can start thinking about the merchandise you want to display.
Stackable plastic containers are great for displaying a wide variety of merchandise, and many store owners use them to display small items like wrapped and unwrapped candy, small children’s toys like bouncy balls and miniature stuffed animals, and even hobby and craft items like beads and packets of glitter and sequins.
3. Then, Order Your Stackable Plastic Containers
Now that you know what you want to display and where you want to display it, you’re ready to check out the kinds of stackable plastic containers that are available.
Be sure to choose a size, and number, that will fit with the space you have to work with and the merchandise you want to sell. Also, keep in mind that if you’ve decided to use the containers to display unwrapped items like candy, you’ll need to obtain accessories like plastic, aluminum, or stainless scoops, too.
4. Try Out a Few Display Set Ups
Now that you have your merchandise and containers, try out a few different displays to see which ones work best for your customers. The key is to provide both a convenient and a visually pleasing display.
5. Finally, Reuse or Recycle Your Old Plastic Containers
Now that you have your new stackable plastic containers filled and arranged in a display, you can reuse or recycle your old plastic containers.
If you don’t have any room for them in another display, or they aren’t in the best condition, you can either donate your old containers to a local charity or nonprofit or you can use them in your stockroom as storage fixtures.
Sometimes, retail store managers will sell their stores’ old display fixtures at low prices, and while you never know who will want to buy them and take them home, this is an especially good idea if your store is located in an area close to other similar stores or startup stores that could use the help.
