3DOWN

This video is the first of three segments of the panel discussion, hosted by Deb of Bonafide Green Goods, with Alex Lee of Project Laundry List and Tom Irwin of The Conservation Law Foundation, following the presentation of three episodes of DOWN THE MIGHTY RIVER, a documentary series (in Cree and English) that takes the audience on a scientific and cultural journey down one of the most magnificent wild rivers in the world in summer 2009, before it was damned for a hydroelectric plant. Captured in stunning HD photography, Down the Mighty River is an intimate and moving portrait of the animals, plants, fish and people along the river. The presentation had particular relevance to NH residents reading about the issue of hydroelectricity in their own area in the morning paper: www.concordmonitor.com The latest presentation in Red River Theatres’ and GREEN CONCORD’S monthly “Green Living Series,” DOWN THE MIGHTY RIVER was preceded by GREEN CONCORD’S “Green Drinks” gathering.
