Dan spoke with the Buildaroo News Team about 3Ms solar mirror film made from silver deposited on polymers. This mirror film is used for CSPs and reflects 94% of the sunlight in comparison to aluminum and thick glass mirrors which reflect 88% and 92-93% of sunlight respectively. This product has other advantages over glass mirrors. It is lighter in weight than glass, less costly, more durable and lead free. It also has a lot of flexibility in terms of design. 3M is working with Gossamer Space Frames in creating a complete CSP package using this product.
