Banff launches first LED streetlight project with OSRAM

Through a pilot program with OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, the Town of Banff, Canada, is one of the first communities in North America to sport an energy saving LED streetlight powered by OSRAM LEDs. With the goals of lowering power consumption and using more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly light sources, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors provided the engineering support and LED products to retrofit an existing streetlamp with LED lighting.
