The impending doom brought about by climate change has got people worrying about the future. Will the Earth be habitable in 50 to 100 years? Will the next war be fought over depleting natural resources? These questions of survival have been playing in different media. Forget about terrorism and nuclear proliferation. It is assumed that climate change and its consequences are the grave issues governments across the world will be dealing with in the coming years.

A Common Problem Demands A Common Solution

The Industrial Revolution is often held responsible for starting the problem of global pollution as it is understood today. The issue of development for a better lifestyle, driven by a consumerist outlook overlooked factors of sustainable development. Rampant and indiscriminate development not only led to inequities in the social structure but also led to a rise in the hazardous industrial chemical discharges and untreated waste products. The gradual and steady degradation of the environment has led to the position that the world is today.

Climate change is not a phenomenon that going to affect just you. It will have an impact on you, the person next to you and the one next to him as well. The present eco-system is seriously threatened by the crisis. Unfortunately, people have been living in denial of the reverse effects of unchecked development. Global warming has already started and there is no way to reverse it. Yes, there are means to alleviate the impact of climate change by the adoption of green and accessible technology. Already, countries have stepped up initiatives in combating the problem and lowering dependence upon GHG (Green House Gases) emitting fossil fuel.
