I love how our governments are not going to give a choice as to which lighting products we can and cannot buy. And instead force to purchase a product just because it fits their current agenda or trend. Smells like fascism to me.

what I find strangely missing from any debate about CFL’s is the big glob of lead on the bottom of the bulbs. its mucho toxic too and nobody talks about it.

How many times have you broken a lightbulb?
Multiply that by the number of times you’ve exposed yourself and family to Mercury.

How many people are going to automatically drop their flickery, nasty old bulbs into the dustbin and into the landfill, feeding mercury into the groundwater?

Remember all the talk in the 80’s and 90’s about the stressful effects of Fluorescent lighting? Well, they still cause stress headaches and migraines but now they’re in every socket you’ll see in a given day.

Good video. I don’t understand why they can’t just put a little instruction page inside of the bulb packages that shows a step-by-step procedure on how to dispose of the bulbs. A fact sheet about mercury would be nice too (with all the facts!) The same should apply for anything else with mercury too.
