Tonix Jesse from www.Spazialis.com report from Torraca 11/30/2007 (Salerno-Italy) international meeting to present to the world the first LED city in the world Torraca, a small town located in the south of Italy it is the firs city in the world where the whole pubblic illumination it is fully realized by LED lamps. Engineered by Gelbison Electronic srl the full installation it consists in over 700 street lamps, each one consisting in 54 CREE 1 WATT new power leds (the new Cree leds performs an astounding output of over 104 lumens per watt!) The result it’s amazing, just spectacular , litterally “to see to believe”. The LED solution gives remarkable results in terms of energy saving.The first official data shows a reduction of the electricity consumption (of course on bills )around 65% less respect the previous system based on incandescent lamps. The system it is fully managed via software (developed by Gelbison) , also in remote,through the internet and even via mobile phone. Each Street lamp can be even controlled individually .
