Do not feed the wind industry tax dollars. This is a scam . Send the turbines away.

This is a great song. We can do more with conservation and energy efficiency than we can ever do with wind turbines. It is a scam and waste of tax payer money!

I actually like the looks of wind mills, and I’ve seen bunches of ‘em. But maybe we should instead build coal fired power plants with smokestacks. I just watched a university presentation on global warming, so that may bias me a little bit though. But it is a choice between smoke and windmills. So as the song ends, it says, ‘this is not the answer.’ But what is?

we are depriving ourselves of natures joys with our huge boats on the st. lawrence river. we commit beauty corruption when we build homes larger than we need on the waterfront. people are trying to do something that isn’t raping our land of natural resources–nice attempt…but i don’t buy it. bring in the windmills i say…and yes..even in my backyard!

It’s just another of these “not in my backyard” cases, you want it somewhere else but the people there might not want it there either. we just have to accept that if the wind turbines aren’t built that you will lose the landscape anyway! people who don’t want wind turbines because they think they will spoil the landscape are selfish, you want the landscape for your self and not for future generations. nice song tho

As long as we keep using the triple bottom line method of thinking we can make better sustainable decisions in turbine placement

As with everything, the devil is in the details. Careful and considerate wind turbine siting is an obligation. They are extremely obtrusive, can destroy mountain ridgelines (blasted roads, pads). They don’t belong in many places.
