Take a look at the time lapse video thus far in the building process for the EQuilibrium™ House Project. (aka – Green Dream Home) The purpose of Green Dream Home project, one of two BC winning entries in the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) EQuilibrium™ Sustainable Housing Demonstration Initiative, is to design, build and demonstrate the construction of a Net-Zero home in the Sun Rivers Resort community. This geothermal community is an award winning development having built the most (38) Built Green Platinum level homes last year. The builder-developer is a consortium of the CHBA CI, and Thompson Rivers University (TRU) student involvement which includes the building design, site landscaping design by horticultural students and classroom and job site work by construction trades students (eg carpentry, plumbing, and electrical apprentices, under the supervision of journeymen and experienced instructors, with CHBA CI residential construction industry professionals.)
