The Boston Nature Center is home to the city’s first green public building. Smack dab in the middle of a nature sanctuary, The George Robert White Environmental Conservation Center serves as a prime example of how to design a green building. Light, air, energy and recyclable materials are combined to create a healthy (for humans and the earth) and comfortable atmosphere for work, education and play. We were like kids in a candy store when Andrew Birch showed us all the smart technologies implemented to create and conserve energy. Special thanks to Ashley from SustainableRoute.com for helping gather footage and interview.
