Philip Labbe, 53, of Burnsville faces several charges for allegedly setting six different grass fires April 17 and 18 in the Vista View Park area of Burnsville. Labbe was arrested Saturday, April 18, shortly after four different witnesses came forward to police who had seen a man fitting Labbe’s description in the areas where the fires occurred. Labbe was charged April 23 in Dakota County District Court. He faces two counts of wild fire arson, felonies. Each carries up to five years in jail and a maximum $10000 fine. He also faces one count of possession of flammables used to set wild fires, which carries up to three years in jail and a maximum $3000 fine. Labbe is in Dakota County jail. His bail is set at $60000 without conditions or $2000 with conditions. His next court appearance is 1:30 pm Monday, May 18. For the full article go to mnsun.com.
