Robert L. Rehn, Group Manager for Testing and Analysis, Center for Transportation Technology at the National Renewable Energy Lab discusses testing and analysis findings of buses and batteries. Robert serves as the Center for Transportation Technology and Systems Group Manager for Testing and Analysis and also leads the centers new business development activities. The group he manages is responsible for executing vehicle systems analysis, advanced technology vehicle in-use demonstration projects and heavy-duty vehicle engine and chassis dynamometer testing activities in support of the goals of the Department of Energys Office of Vehicle Technology. Previously he led NRELs efforts in the DOEs Heavy Hybrid Vehicle Propulsion System Program conducted in collaboration with several industrial partners. He first came to NREL to serve as program manager for a DOE funded hybrid vehicle research project in partnership with General Motors. Bob has 37 years experience as an engineering manager and project leader, 22 years of which were spent in advanced transportation systems. Before joining NREL, he was Vice President of Vehicle Systems and Director of Vehicle Programs for Unique Mobility, Inc.
