Do you know about urban planning, transportation, and sustainable energy issues? Do you have an opinion you would like to share? CREST wants to put you on camera. Communities and Residents for Sustainable Transportation (CREST) is compiling a video speaker series featuring thought leaders in the transportation, urban planning, energy and community development arena. The series is intended to profile leading edge thinking in the sustainable transportation and energy areas and to stimulate discussion on the future of Halifax Regional Municipality. CREST is looking for volunteers to contribute to the video series by presenting their views on the future of transportation and renewable energy in HRM. CREST will capture your presentation on video and post it on our site. The idea is to collect thoughts on video and create an online forum, where people can post comments, forward video clips, link to blogs, etc. The speakers series will take online discussion to a new levela level that involves the spoken word and footage of the speakers. If you feel you have an opinion to share on the following topics, we want to hear from you: Alternative ideas for transportation in HRM. Renewable energy Smart grid technology Feed-in tariffs New urbanism The role of a transportation system in urban life. What is currently working (and not working) in HRMs current transportation system. The future of the CN rail line. Arguments for and against road widening. Policy and the role of government
