Most of us can merely afford the little run around that we have, with the current economical disaster and rising fuel costs. But there are some stars in the world that pay an exorbitant amount for cars and other vehicles. It begs the question, how on earth do they manage to get car insurance?

Emma Roberts, actress and niece of Julia Roberts gained her licence second time around, after some confusion of the rules of the road. She turned right on a red light into oncoming traffic, and failed automatically. She wants to get a car that is good for the environment, but also a big car. So the jury is out on that one.

Paris Hilton, not one to be outdone on the car stakes, drives a customised pink Bentley  which is estimated to be worth $200,000.  The interior is decorated to match the exterior, very much like a Barbie car.

Rapper T-Pain took attention seeking to a new level when he bought a hearse, complete with blue fibreglass coffin in the back. The coffin is home to his sound system and TV’s, and still holds a faint smell of embalming fluid.

Tom Hanks on the other hand opts for green cars, and joined forces last year with a company who refit SUV’s with electric engines.
