NorCal Waste—Heil Split Body Rapid Rail

in recycling

It is with much pride and satisfaction that I now present to you the NorCal Waste Mega Series (2009)!! Many of you remember the legendary footage I captured around two years ago of this subsidiary of the great company now holding the HIGHEST percentage of recycled material collected in CA. (**On that note, I might add that NorCal waste is in the process of changing their name to ‘Recology’ to help in their long-term Waste Zero goal [see recology.com for more information on that]**) Auburn-Placer Disposal Service operates just outside Sacramento, CA and they really have a diverse fleet (as seen in this mega series). The subsidiary collects trash and greens weekly, and recycling is sorted from the trash via a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). The truck in this video is a Volvo WXLL/Heil Split Body Rapid Rail (RR). To clarify any confusion, he is in fact collected trash in BOTH compartments, there is no greens collection seen in this particular video. I sincerely hope you enjoy, it’s much harder than you may think getting this kind of footage. Therefore I would absolutely appreciate any comment (even if you have nothing to say…) and a rating at the least. Also be sure and check out coming posts in the NorCal Waste (2009) Mega Series! Pics of this truck will be uploaded to the CRT flickr group at www.flickr.com Thanks so very much for watching, and also thanks to the exceptionally friendly driver for making it happen!!
